Learning happens in a myriad of ways: at home around the dinner table, in the classroom seated quietly at desks, in the classrooms sprawled out all around the room, in the field while kicking a soccer ball, after school with old friends and new friends while practicing speeches or struggling to juggle,and while preparing to proclaim scripture or preparing to bake a cake. Since, our demanding curriculum doesn’t always allow us time to teach some of the exciting topics that guide students to personal growth we have developed extracurricular offerings to meet that need.
Extracurricular offerings include but are not limited to:
Art Club (Fee Based)
Middle School Art Club meet once a week on Monday from 3:00-4:30.
Jr. Art Club (Gr. 3-5) and Mini Art Club (Gr. K-2) meet once or twice per month depending on the project on Thursdays from 3:00-4:30.
Bellermine Speech League
Students in grades 6 – 8 are eligible to participate. Practice is held on Wednesdays after school for competitions in November, February, March and April (Finals). Students may present a speech in the Humorous, Serious, or Duet category.
Mad Science (Fee Based)
Mad Science is an eight week, one-hour after school science program themed around a particular area of science. Children engage in exciting hands-on activities and watch and learn from spectacular demonstrations. The program is offered to Grades K – 5.
