| KINDERGARTEN Kindergarten computer class will enrich the areas of learning using drawing software, keyboarding software, the SMARTBoard and the Internet. The students will improve their fine motor skills by drawing and creating with the computer mouse. They will create projects using drawing, painting, stamping and typing that relate to themes covered during the year. The students will become familiar with the keyboard using a keyboarding program. Students will be introduced to the SMART Board and its tools. The Internet will be used for math and language arts applications. Kindergarten students will be taught to be safe on the Internet using the iSafe curriculum. |

| SECOND GRADE Second grade computer class will enrich the areas of learning using drawing software, keyboarding software, the SMARTBoard, SMART Notebook and the Internet. They will be proficient in creating projects using drawing, painting, stamping and typing that relate to themes covered during the year. The students will continue to use word processing software and learn additional software tools for their creative writing assignments. The students will continue to learn the home row concept and improve their skills using a keyboarding program. A spreadsheet application will be introduced to the students for a group project. The students will learn to save their work to their student folder on the school server. The Internet will be used for math and language arts applications. The students will be taught to be safe on the Internet using the iSafe curriculum. |
THIRD GRADE Third grade computer class will enrich the areas of learning using a variety of software applications, the SMARTBoard, digital cameras and the Internet. The students will use the Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel and Power Point to complete curriculum related projects. Digital cameras will be introduced and will incorporate the images into a computer project. The students will learn keyboarding techniques. The Internet will be used for math and language arts applications and research. The students will be taught to be safe on the Internet using the iSafe curriculum. |
